Construction responsible for Internet outage on Pleasant Hill campus

Due to a technical error during construction of the new Computer Center on the first floor of the Library, Internet service was out throughout Diablo Valley College’s Pleasant Hill campus early Monday morning.

Since 9 a.m., access has been intermittent, disrupting some classes that depend on the Internet.

However, some buildings do have access, such as the Library, where students continue to do their work. According to a librarian, students have not complained about there being a disruption with the Internet connection.

A notice on the college website says Internet is also available in the Student Services Center.

Percy Roper, DVC’s technology systems manager, says he hopes the Internet will be up and running by Tuesday.
