BoilerRoom Advice

Grassy,

What is it about your job that gets you out of bed in the morning?

BoilerRoom

BoilerRoom,

What gets me out of bed in the morning is the promise that I’ll be better at what I do before I go to bed that night. This year has been all about improving on the things that I think I do best (writing specifically),  as well as giving a try to things I’ve avoided because I just assumed I would stink at them.

My course, however, has been nothing if not self-indulgent, pursuing an education that I can’t afford to try and make a living doing what I love. Your situation sounds more like someone who’s stuck at the bottom paying dues.

For now, my advice is to keep your chin up and roll with the punches, before long, you’ll be throwing punches instead of just absorbing them with a smile.
