ASDVC president returns after overcoming disease

ASDVC President Sam Park addressed his two week absence, stating that the reason he was gone was due to being diagnosed with cancer four weeks ago.

Following his diagnosis, Park had surgery immediately, removing the cancerous cell and the organ it had been infecting for the past six months. Fortunately, the CAT scan showed results that indicate that the cancer has inhibited it’s growth.

“Although I have my physical limitations right now, it’s not going to affect my decision-making capabilities or my will to serve the students,” Park said. “So, I want to end my statement by saying that students have nothing to worry about. This is just a minor bump in the road and we’re willing to keep the promise we made in the beginning of the year and finish strong to serve all of our students.”
