Spring sports at Diablo Valley College are looking forward to a new season to showcase their skills.

After losing only five games the whole season and finishing fourth in the state last season, women’s basketball looks to show the Big 8 that they can continue to be a dominating force.

Men’s basketball is striving to have better results this season after finishing last season with a record of 17-13. They are off to a good start so far with a record of 5-3.

Vikings softball ended last season at 32-11, and hope to make it past round two of the Super Regionals after being eliminated last season.

Vikings baseball look to bounce back from having a down year, finishing last season with a record of 9-27.

DVC men’s swimming expect to continue their dominance from last season after winning the Big 8 and coming in 2nd at the State Championships.

Women’s swimming also did well in the Big 8 and came in 3rd place at the State Championships last season.

Having good seasons last year, men’s tennis finished with a record of 8-6 and women’s finished at 10-5. Hoping to continue their winning mentality, both teams qualified for the CCCAA Team Regionals last season.

Coming off a great season, track and field look to reach the State Championships once again.

These teams will use the previous season to motivate them into all star winners this upcoming spring.
